You’ve just gotten your first order from a very important customer and you want more. You can start priming customers for new orders during delivery and unboxing by utilizing some of the ideas I’m going to show you below.

The first thing to keep in mind is that every order is a gift for your customer. Just like your customer eats first with their eyes, they also gobble up your packages first with their eyes. You want to make your customer excited when they first see your box and extend that to after they open it. That can be accomplished through the use of:

  1. Custom Boxes with your logo and information
  2. Custom Packing Tape with your logo
  3. Stickers with your name and slogan

Stickers and tape are especially effective if your box has a representation of the item inside on it and you do not have much real estate on the outside of the box.

Now your customer has the box and has seen all that you have to offer on the outside. What about inside? Joey has talked about unboxing before, and has some very good information if you haven’t read it. Check it out here. But you can take that even further with Custom Packing Paper. Custom packing paper has the space to say all the things you can’t say on a box.  The picture below gives you an idea of what this might look like.

There are also some smaller items that can be included in your “gift” that promote future business for you. You can:

  • Include a catalog of items that go along with your customer’s order.
  • A Sample of such an item.
  • A Nice pen.
  • A Wall decal or cling with reorder information.
  • Snacks customized with your information.

Any of these ideas above will make the gift that you give your customers more special and keep them coming back for more.
